Come one, come all! TWU is joining the American
Heart Association on making women (and men) aware of the #1 killer- heart
disease (cardiovascular disease). We need your help to get the word out to everyone.
Starting on Tuesday, February 5th TWU and other business partners
are hosting Go Red for Women. So, wear your
favorite red outfit and join us!
The activities start at noon in the TWU Fitness and
Recreation Center-Studio One where lunch will be served free for the first 50
participants. A discussion panel will take place to answer all of your
questions about heart disease. There will be “Paint T-Dub Red” (around 1:00 pm), which will
be a
campus photo of everyone who shows up wearing red.
You will also see our contest “Color T-Dub Red” where
our departments compete on having the most red,
most healthy heart information, and most creative presentation of presentation
of Go Red for Women.
Also, the month of February is "I love my heart" cardio challenge located in the Fitness
and Recreation Center where you boost your cardio workouts and compete for
prizes.
By wearing
red you are helping raise awareness of
cardiovascular disease and empowering others to reduce their risk of cardiovascular
disease.
